Catching Ancient Poltergeists
The journey begins in the Roundhouse, where a playful banter from the professor sets the lighthearted tone. As you stand in the Roundhouse, you'll notice the professor humorously remarks on Luigi's mustache, kicking off the adventure with a smile. Your actual mission is to recover the clocktower hands stolen by an ancient poltergeist.
Nabbing the First Gem
Your first objective is outside the right door to the canyon stairs, where you can collect an elusive gem halfway down the steps. This is Old Clockworks Gem #5, the first of many collectibles you'll find.
A Journey Through The Warehouse
Proceed back to the warehouse adjacent to the Roundhouse and take the lift to the upper floor. Here, a door is obstructed by debris. Flash the orb to clear the way and enter the Clockmaker's Chambers.
Old Clockworks Gem #6
Enter Clockmaker's Chambers and pull back the rug to uncover a large fan. Adjust the fan to set the clock to 9:00, which awakens a greenie. Defeat the greenie and you will be awarded with Old Clockworks Gem #6.
Balancing Acts and Hidden Secrets
Walk through the door to balance beams and cross over to the other side. Dispose of a few spiders and check the crack in the wall. Additionally, there’s a poster you need to tear down.
Old Clockworks Gem #7
Before advancing, return to the beams and walk across to the farthest right side. This hidden area yields Old Clockworks Gem #7.
New Obstacles and Challenges
Navigate through the Transportation Hall where the first right door is locked. Head left into the Finishing Room, where several greenies with welding masks await your courage. Once defeated, exit to discover the moving walkway is blocked. Make your way to the Container Yard instead.
Finishing Room and Container Yard
In the Container Yard, use the orb to destroy the crates on the scale. Once you activate the primary machine, two formidable opponents will emerge from a box. Take them out and pull the cord three times to set three orbs onto the scale cart, revealing a treasure chest filled with riches. Illuminate the orbs to trigger an explosion, then move ahead into the Transportation Hall.
Kiln Room and Boo Battle
Enter the left door leading to the Kiln Room. Use the Poltergust to stop the valve on the left, then use dark-light to reveal another valve on the right. Clear the steam using the Poltergust; once visibility is restored, flash the door to prompt another set of greenies followed by a confrontation with Boo - Boodonkulous!
Post-Kiln Room Adventures
After dealing with Boodonkulous, grab the chain to open the vent, flash a gold orb, and proceed back to the main hall. Unveil a spot below the key portrait with the dark light, then cross over using the mechanism. Grab the key, ride back, and unlock the first door on the corridor to return to the Roundhouse.
Spider Invasion and Final Gem
In the Roundhouse, face a horde of spiders on the stairs. Use dark light to find a hidden chest full of coins beneath the stairs. Then, pull down the sheets on the opposite side to unearth more treasure.
Old Clockworks Gem #8
Look for a hidden gap in the wall to the left of the door, which hides Old Clockworks Gem #8.
The Final Battle
Now fully equipped, face the ancient poltergeist who has stolen the clock hands. Watch for movements on the sand and lifted bricks as you stun, reveal, and tackle the ghost to inflict damage. The first capture will trigger a purple enemy attack, and a tornado will spawn, hurling bombs toward you. Navigate carefully to avoid the dangers.
Once settled, repeat the process a few more times, dealing with fewer purple interruptions and no additional tornadoes. Finally, defeat the poltergeist and retrieve the clock hands.
